Martyn is a well-known and respected 3rd generation Cotswold's Stone Mason, continuing in the long tradition of the English countryside - where native stone is utilized.

Since leaving school in 1984, and until he re-located to the US in 2001, Martyn was the owner/principal of a contractor/stone masonry company, located in the Cotswold’s, Gloucestershire, England. Independently and in partnership with other firms, he has developed both large and small-scale projects for a variety of property developers and construction firms. He is well rounded in all areas of construction and stone masonry - from the management of sub-contractors, to planning and execution of projects to completion.

In 2003, Martyn completed his stint as Site Superintendent for the extensive masonry work at 745 Mountain Home Road - home of Larry Ellison, and one of the largest residential projects in the United States. JEC was founded by Martyn and his wife Kerry in early 2003, and the company has been busy with a variety of general construction and masonry projects ever since.

Since 1997, Kerry has worked as a management consultant with hundreds of clients through her Bay Area based firm, Articulate Integrity. She assists organizations & institutions in becoming effective and efficient. Prior to starting Articulate Integrity, she was Executive Director of the National AIDS Memorial Grove in San Francisco, a natural, federally designated, 15-acre site in Golden Gate Park. This entailed the oversight , restoration and construction of a $5 million dell, including large-scale masonry features. 

Kerry also has a deep background in politics, and is a registered mediator/arbitrator.  Kerry and Martyn are also busy raising 3 lovely girls!


Who is James Enright?

We named the company after Kerry’s father, who is deceased. The name is strong, and easy to spell.
